Today we’d like to introduce you to Todd Kurpil.
Hi Todd, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story really begins in childhood. I grew up in an environment that shaped me deeply and also created a lot of inner struggle. Like many people, I learned early how stress, tension, and emotional pain can live inside the body and mind for years if they are not understood or processed. Those early experiences planted the seeds for the work I do today, even though I did not realize it at the time.
In my early adult years, I went through a season of severe anxiety that changed the course of my life. On the outside I may have looked fine, but internally I was struggling. That period forced me to begin searching for answers beyond surface-level coping. I became deeply interested in healing, consciousness, emotional wellness, and the connection between mind and body.
A major turning point came when I was mentored by an older woman who introduced me to alternative healing approaches and a different way of seeing life. From there, I explored many paths and learned from a wide range of teachers and modalities including meditation, energy work, breathwork, emotional awareness practices, leading sound baths and personal development. Over time, I began realizing that healing does not have to be complicated. Often the most powerful tools are simple ones that help people feel safe, present, and connected again.
As my own life changed, people naturally began coming to me for support, guidance, and perspective. What started as helping friends and individuals grew into working with private clients, groups, and eventually business leaders and teams. I saw that whether someone is dealing with anxiety at home or conflict in the workplace, many of the core issues are similar: stress, disconnection, fear, lack of clarity, and emotional patterns that keep repeating.
That realization led me to build two expressions of my work. Healing Guy focuses on personal transformation, emotional wellness, and helping people regulate their nervous system, heal old patterns, and reconnect to themselves. My business brand, Intrinsic Culture, applies many of those same principles to organizations by helping leaders improve trust, communication, alignment, and workplace culture.
Today, my work is the result of everything I have lived through and learned. I did not arrive here through a traditional path. I arrived here through pain, curiosity, persistence, and a genuine desire to help people suffer less and live with more peace, awareness, and purpose. My mission now is simple: help people heal internally so they can live and lead more powerfully externally.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, and in many ways that is what shaped me into who I am today. My path has been filled with personal challenges, emotional struggles, uncertainty, and having to rebuild myself more than once.
One of the biggest struggles was dealing with severe anxiety in my early adult years. That season was incredibly difficult because it affected how I experienced daily life, relationships, and my sense of stability. At the time, I was searching for answers and trying to understand what was happening internally. Looking back, that struggle became one of my greatest teachers because it pushed me into the world of healing and self-discovery.
Another challenge was walking a path that was not conventional. When you choose a route centered around healing, consciousness, and helping people in nontraditional ways, there is not always a clear blueprint. There were times of financial uncertainty, times of questioning myself, and times of wondering if people would truly understand the value of the work I was building.
Building a business around meaningful service also comes with real-life pressures. Like many entrepreneurs, I have faced the challenge of balancing purpose with practical realities such as income, structure, marketing, and growth. There were moments where I had to learn that passion alone is not enough. You also need systems, consistency, and resilience.
On a personal level, I have also gone through seasons of relationship challenges, loss, and major life transitions that required emotional strength and perspective. Those moments were painful, but they deepened my compassion and gave me a greater ability to understand what others are carrying.
So no, it has not been a smooth road. But I would also say I am grateful for the road. One tool I have used for decades is the mindset that life happens for me, not to me. That perspective allows me to process challenges differently and ask what they are here to teach me. It helps me use difficult seasons as opportunities to learn, heal, grow, and evolve. Many of the things that once felt like setbacks became the foundation of my purpose.
As you know, we’re big fans of Healing Guy LLC (Intrinsic Culture). For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is built around helping people and organizations become healthier from the inside out. I operate through two connected brands: Healing Guy and Intrinsic Culture. Healing Guy focuses on personal transformation, emotional wellness, and helping individuals reduce stress, process emotions, and reconnect with themselves. Intrinsic Culture focuses on businesses and teams by improving communication, trust, leadership dynamics, and workplace culture.
At the core of both brands is the belief that many problems people experience are symptoms of something deeper. For individuals, that may look like anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, or feeling disconnected from themselves. For businesses, it may look like turnover, tension, poor communication, low morale, or leadership frustration. My work is about helping uncover the root cause and creating practical pathways forward.
I specialize in consciousness coaching, emotional regulation, leadership development, team dynamics, and people-system wellness. I work with private clients, business owners, executives, and organizations that want real change rather than surface-level fixes. My approach blends mindset, emotional intelligence, nervous system awareness, and strategic insight in a way that is both practical and transformational.
What sets me apart is that I bridge two worlds that are often separated. I understand personal healing and human behavior, but I also understand business pressure, leadership stress, and operational realities. That allows me to help someone with internal growth while also helping a company improve externally. Many people can coach emotions or coach business, but fewer can connect both sides in a meaningful way.
I am known for creating a safe space where people feel understood while also being challenged to grow. I bring compassion, directness, and clarity. Clients often tell me they feel calmer, clearer, and more empowered after working together because they are not just talking about problems, they are learning how to shift them.
What I am most proud of brand wise is that everything I offer was built from lived experience and a genuine desire to serve. These brands were not created in a boardroom. They were created through real life healing, years of learning, and seeing what truly helps people change. There is authenticity behind the message.
What I want readers to know is that whether you are an individual struggling internally or a business dealing with people challenges, change is possible. Often the breakthrough is not as far away as it seems. With the right awareness, tools, and support, people can heal, teams can reconnect, and organizations can thrive.
How do you think about luck?
I have never been a very luck-oriented person. I do not tend to view life or business through the lens of luck, whether good or bad. I believe much more in responsibility, awareness, consistency, and how we choose to show up each day.
In many ways, I believe we create our own “luck” through our mindset, actions, and willingness to grow. Opportunities often come from being prepared, building relationships, staying open, and continuing to move forward even when results are not immediate. What some people call luck is often the result of persistence, character, and showing up over time.
When things are going well in my life or business, I usually see that as a reflection of strong choices, good habits, clear direction, and staying aligned with what matters. It means I am steering the ship well, paying attention, and responding effectively to what is in front of me.
When challenges arise, I do not see that as bad luck. I see it as feedback. It is an opportunity to assess what needs attention, learn from what is happening, and make adjustments. Sometimes challenges reveal blind spots, sharpen resilience, or redirect us toward something better.
That mindset has helped me greatly in both life and business. It keeps me out of a victim mentality and places the focus back on what I can influence. We may not control every circumstance, but we can control how we respond, how we learn, and how we continue forward.
So if luck has played any role in my story, I would say it is less about chance and more about creating favorable outcomes through intention, effort, and the willingness to keep evolving.
