Check Out Elizabeth Kathryn’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Kathryn.

Hi Elizabeth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
When I reflect on my journey, I can actually see the seeds of what I do today going all the way back to childhood. As a kid, you’d often find me wandering through the adult section of the library reading books on intuition, magic, tarot, ESP, and metaphysics. I was fascinated by ancient Egypt, mythology, and stories of gods and goddesses. At the same time, I had a deep curiosity about psychology and human development—I even spent one summer reading a Psychology 101 textbook just out of interest. Looking back now, all the threads of my work today were already present very early on.

When I went to college, psychology felt like a natural path. I loved understanding how people grow, how their experiences shape them, and most importantly how healing and transformation happen. That passion led me to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology. After graduating, I spent about ten years working as a traditional therapist, primarily with college students. It was incredibly meaningful work and I felt honored to support people through very pivotal times in their lives, but it was also emotionally intense. The university environment was intensely demanding, and over time I began to experience burnout.

That period of burnout ended up becoming an important turning point in my life. I remember asking myself deeper questions like, “Is this all there is?” and “Is there something more I’m meant to be doing?” Around the same time, I also went through some very challenging personal experiences, including the ending of two significant relationships. Those experiences pushed me into a much deeper personal healing journey and spiritual exploration.

I began studying and experiencing a wide range of holistic healing practices—energy healing, emotional freedom techniques (EFT), tarot, past life work, shadow work, meditation circles, and goddess-centered spiritual practices to name a few. As I moved through my own healing process, I experienced firsthand how powerful these modalities could be, especially when combined with psychological insight and emotional work. It became clear to me that when we support healing on the psychological, emotional, energetic, and intuitive levels together, it creates a much deeper transformation.

Eventually I began bringing all of these pieces together to create my practice, Creating Inner Beauty. In my work, I combine my background in psychology with intuitive coaching, energy healing, and spiritual practices to support spiritually inclined women who want to live more soul-aligned lives. I help clients reconnect with their intuition, release emotional and energetic blocks, and move toward the relationships, abundance, and life experiences that truly fulfill them.

Everything I teach in my classes, workshops, and on my YouTube channel comes from my own healing journey and what helped me transform my life. Through this work I’ve been able to heal deep inner child and attachment wounds, manifest my soulmate relationship—my husband and I have now been married for three years—create our dream home, travel, and build a life where I get to do work that feels deeply aligned and meaningful. One of the greatest joys of my work is connecting with clients who feel like soul-sisters on this journey, where together we’re creating lives that feel purposeful, spiritually connected, and truly fulfilling.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road but in many ways the challenges were what ultimately guided me toward the work I do today.

One of the biggest early struggles was experiencing burnout while working as a traditional therapist. I cared deeply about my clients and the work itself was incredibly meaningful, but the environment was very intense and emotionally demanding. Over time I reached a point where I realized I needed to step back and reevaluate what I wanted my life and career to look like. That period brought up a lot of questions for me about purpose, balance, and what kind of impact I wanted to have.

Around that same time, I also went through some significant personal challenges, including the ending of two major relationships as I mentioned earlier. That season of my life really felt like my “Dark Night of the Soul.” It pushed me into a much deeper healing journey and spiritual exploration. That was an extremely challenging time but it also helped me grow immensely personally and spiritually as well as exposed me to the range of holistic healing practices I now use today with my clients.

Another challenge along the way was trusting myself enough to create a path that didn’t fit neatly into one box. My background is in clinical psychology, which is a pretty traditional field, and the work I do now integrates intuition, spirituality, and energy healing. Learning to honor both sides of that—while building a business around it—has required a lot of courage and self-trust.

Looking back now, I can see that the difficult moments were actually what shaped my work the most. Going through my own healing journey allowed me to meet my clients with deep empathy and understanding. It also showed me firsthand that even when things feels uncertain or challenging, it can ultimately lead to profound transformation and the creation of a life that feels deeply soul-fulfilling and even a little magical.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At the heart of my work, I help spiritually inclined women heal, reconnect with their intuition, and create lives that feel deeply aligned with the magical beings they truly are. Many of the women who come to me feel like they’re in a period of awakening or transition. They might feel stuck in old relationship patterns, blocked in love or abundance, unsure of their life direction, or disconnected from their own inner guidance. Often they know they’re meant for something more fulfilling or meaningful, but they’re not quite sure how to move forward. My role is to help guide them through the healing and inner alignment that allows them to move toward the relationships, purpose, and life experiences that truly resonate with their soul.

What makes my work unique is that I blend my background in clinical psychology with intuitive guidance and energetic healing practices. My PhD training gives me a deep understanding of emotional patterns, trauma, attachment, and personal development, while my intuitive work allows me to help clients access deeper layers of insight and spiritual guidance. I often incorporate practices such as energy healing, channeling intuitive messages, emotional release work, and manifestation coaching so that clients are supported on psychological, emotional, energetic, and spiritual levels.

Another part of my work that I’m especially passionate about is helping women reconnect with the divine feminine through goddess-centered practices. I host goddess circles and incorporate teachings from goddess traditions around the world as a way to help women feel empowered, supported, and connected to the sacred within themselves.

I work with clients through one-on-one intuitive sessions, classes, workshops, and online content like my YouTube channel, where I share many of the practices that supported my own healing journey. Everything I teach comes from both my professional background and my personal experience.

What I’m most proud of is seeing the transformation that happens when women begin to trust themselves again—when they reconnect with their own intuition and gifts, release old wounds or limiting beliefs, and start creating lives that truly reflect who they are. Being able to witness and support that kind of transformation is something I feel deeply honored to be part of.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
That’s an interesting question because, over time, my perspective on luck has shifted quite a bit. I don’t really believe in luck in the traditional sense of random good or bad events happening to us without meaning. Instead, I’ve come to believe that we are constantly co-creating our reality in partnership with the universe.

Through intention, self-awareness, and healing the parts of ourselves that may be holding old wounds or limiting beliefs, we can begin to consciously create experiences that feel more aligned with what we truly want in our lives. In that sense, what people often call “luck” can actually be the result of inner alignment and intentional creation.

At the same time, I do believe we are guided. I believe we are supported by our intuition, our higher self, and our spirit guides. Sometimes that guidance shows up as synchronicities or opportunities that come together in ways that feel effortless and “lucky”. Other times it shows up as challenges or unexpected changes that may feel difficult in the moment but ultimately help us grow or redirect us toward a better path.

So for me, it’s less about good luck or bad luck, and more about alignment and guidance. Sometimes the path unfolds smoothly, and other times it unfolds through challenges that ultimately move us closer to the life we’re meant to create.
