Hidden Gems: Meet Tyler & Jamie Cindrich of T&J Remodeling LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler & Jamie Cindrich.

Hi Tyler & Jamie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Tyler was working for Specht Construction, owned by friends of ours, when we started to receive requests for him to do some projects on his own in 2022. We had talked about owning our own business and ultimately, we knew that was where Tyler wanted to land. I (Jamie) was a little nervous and felt like it was maybe not the best time to start something on our own – we had two little kids! But Tyler was confident the whole time and told me, “The work is coming in.” So we decided to take a huge leap and step out on our own the summer of 2022.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Working with people of all different personalities and lifestyles and budgets can be challenging for sure, but overall we’ve been SO fortunate with our customers! We have met some amazing people through our work and feel so blessed to have been able to support ourselves this way. To say we have learned a lot in the last three and a half years would be an understatement. We have definitely learned from past mistakes and just the experience we’ve gained.

We’ve been impressed with T&J Remodeling LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’re a small, family-owned remodeling business based in the Bonner Springs area. We specialize in kitchen, bathroom and basement renovations, but that’s not all! Tyler has such a wide range of skills and we’ve tackled projects as large as a full home renovation and as small as repairing a customer’s stair handrail.

I think what sets us apart the most is our personal communication style. Our customers have our cell phone numbers and we work really hard at excellent communication when it comes to timeline, cost, products, sub contractors, etc.

We also strive for an affordable and excellent end result; from the tile work to the electrical, we want our customers to be thrilled when their project is complete.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
What a fun question! For me, you just can’t beat summers in Kansas City – at the pool or the lake, catching fireflies, Fourth of July. Kansas City summers are something special!
