Meet Kelsey Moody of RevIVe IV + Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Moody.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I graduated nursing school with a Bachelor’s in 2014 from the University of Central Missouri. I began my nursing career in 2015 on the Progressive Care Unit on night shift at a local hospital. I worked with very sick patients for about two years here and really enjoyed the fast-pace and my co-workers. I decided to leave the hospital setting after becoming a mom to my second child. I then became an oncology nurse in the outpatient setting, where I got credentialed as an Oncology Certified Nurse. Here, I specialized in helping patients through treatment for gynecological and head and neck cancers. I had experience hanging chemotherapy, guiding patients through surgery and recovery, and becoming a friendly face to those enduring the toughest time in their life. I thoroughly enjoyed my nearly six years in this field and the lives I was blessed enough to impact. I had a deep desire to help people in a more proactive way, though. After being in such a reactive healthcare setting my entire career, I wanted to help keep people healthy proactively. This is where I became inspired to open my own business and run a small concierge IV therapy clinic. I knew I could make an impact to my community still, just in a different way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, running a business is not smooth or always easy. I was one of two concierge IV businesses in the area when I decided to take the leap and open in 2022. Challenging people to think outside of the traditional health care model does tend to run into some roadblocks, but it always fills my cup when I can help someone step into their wellness, even if it is only to open their mind to the possibilities outside of corporate healthcare.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about RevIVe IV + Wellness?
I provide IV wellness options, weight loss, supplements, and a laid-back, friendly atmosphere. My passion is to help keep people out of the ER if at all possible and to encourage patients to live their lives, well. I take pride in placing IVs and making the experience more enjoyable than it typically would be. Helping patients with weight loss fills my cup, also. I really enjoy being a part of such a big journey and celebrating the wins with each patient. Each of my patients truly feel like a friend to me and it is a big enjoyment of mine to learn about each one that sits in my chair.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I do feel like I offer a quaint, enjoyable experience and I try to give each patient a safe space to let their walls down and really lean into taking care of their body. I feel it helps people trust me and the process.
