Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Griffel Del Hedrick.
Hi Kevin Griffel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Centerline volleyball started in Blue Springs, MO as a beach volleyball facility with its current owners in early 2001. The beach side offers a fun beach themed bar with our famous fishbowls and 11 outdoor courts. The patio area has been the focal point of many live music nights while players enjoyed leisurely pickup games in the background. In 2011 Centerline added an indoor building, Pavilion at Centerline. The Pavilion is now host to youth leagues/tournaments, adult leagues/tournaments, and various events. Both facilities in Blue Springs offer unique event spaces that non-volleyball players can rent for baby showers, graduation parties, weddings/receptions, and more. In 2025, Centerline North opened its doors. The Northland location offers beach volleyball, pickle ball courts, and a huge indoor bar with plenty of entertainment space. Centerline North is going to be fully operational in the spring of 2026, and we are excited to bring the Centerline name to the Northland of Kansas City.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
At first Centerline was a seasonal destination due to Missouri weather. When the indoor courts were built, this allowed Centerline to have business opportunities the entire year. Opening a second location was always in the plans for Kevin and Del but it took many years to find the perfect spot in the Northland to finally build another outdoor beach location. Centerline hopes to continue its expansion as the Northland location develops.
