Meet Martin Jimenez Diaz of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Martin Jimenez Diaz.

Hi Martin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I came to USA on 1996 , started working as a temporary worker at Nappco , on Riverside Missouri. The first week I was offered a full time work, 3 years later I was the men on charge of the cnc manufacture area 9 I. i move on 2002 to WD machinery . started as a machine programmer and 4 years later I was offered to make programming for mill and lathe cnc machines . Work for them for 14 years , and I decide to open my machine shop , so I started on my home garage with a manual lathe , mill and grinder .
on 2015 I bough the building where I have my machine shop .
work hard and save money to buy me the first CNC , after that I save money , got me the 2nd CNC ,, save and got me the 3rt CNC

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
NO easy , on 2016 my son was killed by a drunk driver, though about shut down the machine shop .. ( I have working my son and daughter with me )
After long thinking and meditation I decide to continue here and honor Oscar memory

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Machiniest my whole life , graduate as a machinist on June /1983,
When to the Programming School on 2003. , I can program a 5 axis machine .

I always look and find the solution for complicated parts .

Any big plans?
I will work full time until I reach the 62 years old . I am 60 but feb/16. I will be 61 .
I am doing some investments , buying machinery to open a machine shop In El Salvador . ( Central America ) I will be a part time programmer instructor and share my knowledge with the new generation in Honduras y El Salvador
