Today we’d like to introduce you to Meigan Nettles.
Hi Meigan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I discovered photography during the pandemic, shortly after the birth of my fourth daughter. During a period of significant personal transition and family challenges, I realized I was losing my sense of self. I picked up a camera initially to document my children’s lives, but it quickly became my way of reclaiming my identity. It taught me how to find beauty and light in the middle of chaos. What started as a personal project evolved into a professional passion because I realized I have a unique gift for capturing the quiet, meaningful moments that other people might miss.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all, but the bumps are what made the destination worth it. I’ve spent the last five years navigating divorce, moving, marrying the love of my life, and getting to know who I truly am. Rebuilding my life meant making tough choices, including stepping into the corporate finance world to provide for my four daughters and realizing there were seasons where I had to pause photography to focus on my family’s transition. I’m seeing my photography work as someone who truly understands the value of capturing life’s hard won beautiful moments.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Ever Grace Photography?
I’m a published photographer specializing in what I call ‘Life’s Big Chapters.’ That covers everything from the quiet glow of maternity and those chaotic, beautiful family milestones and even empowering boudoir sessions. What really sets me apart is my perspective. Because of everything I’ve walked through over the last five years, I don’t just show up to take pictures, I show up to find the heart of the story. I know how fast time moves and how much those memories matter when life gets loud.
I’m most proud of the fact that my brand is built on authenticity and resilience. I want readers to know that when they book a session with me, they’re getting more than just high-quality, professional headshots or styled portraits. They’re getting someone who sees them, makes them feel comfortable and is obsessed with the tiny details that make an image timeless.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Tenacity is the characteristic that has defined my journey. I’ve navigated a lot of change over the last five years, and it’s taught me to keep pushing forward no matter what…in the photography world, that means I don’t give up until I’ve captured my clients authentically. I’m also incredibly lucky to have a husband and family who act as my sounding board and support system. That combination of personal drive and a stable, loving home life is what keeps me inspired and helps me deliver my best work to every client.
