Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My redemptive faith-filled story is about what lead me to write my new healing memoir 30 day devotional, “The Story Within You” and establish my faith-based women’s storytelling Nonprofit, Altered Stories Ministry, and podcast, The Altered Stories Show.
I’m a childhood cult survivor and military brat that had an untold story I carried inside of me for over 30 years, which hindered me from breaking free from my past trauma to move forward into my purpose.
I discovered the healing power of sharing my story of emotional, sexual and spiritual abuse when I shared it for the first time with a Christian mental health counselor. I also saw how my story inspired those who heard it and how that helped me heal as I leaned into my faith in God.
I published my 30 day healing memoir story devotional book in November of this year to help others heal as they read my story and find their own. To also help women share their transformational God stories, I established a global podcast platform for them to share in a safe place, so other women around the world could hear them. #BeHeard #BeHealed
Altered Stories Ministry was established in February 2019 in Overland Park, Kansas. I also went official with my global podcast at that time, The mission of Altered Stories Ministry is to help women share their God stories, so women around the world can hear them and never feel alone in their struggles. Since that time I’ve shared over 170 God stories in over eighty countries..
Altered Stories Ministry also helps women write their stories through our storytelling coaching services and brings women together to share their stories in person and virtually at local luncheon events.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My story has been anything, but smooth. It has been filled with many setbacks. Struggles have included financial and resource setbacks. I’ve also struggled with finding grants, sponsors, volunteers and Board members who are willing to commit their time to serve.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in Nonprofit leadership and management, women’s ministry leadership, organizational development, public speaking, writing, and podcasting. I’m most proud of the publication of my recent 30 day healing memoir devotional, The Story With You” that can be purchased in paperback or kindle versions on Amazon.
What sets me apart from others is my positivity, understanding of hurting women, can-do and never give up attitude, and my enduring faith!
