Today we’d like to introduce you to Charla Brewer.
Hi Charla, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
R2M2 Software began nearly 10 years ago at the time, in hopes of providing a software platform for small businesses with focus on resorts, campgrounds and other hospitality businesses. Along our journey our platform has evolved to encompass Reservations, Retail, Restaurant and even Consignment all within one interface/application.
We began after having each spent ample time in our respective fields (resort management, programming & web development) by our founding team. We began as friends and grew to realize that collectively our individual experience added up to some major potential … we’re glad we were not wrong!
In 2016, we met in February as friends and were very fast-acting from there bringing R2M2 to market. Programming began in June of 2016 and by October we were Trade Show ready and attended our first show in Florida, December 2016. Our first client was earned early in 2017 and we’ve been deploying and developing our system ever since.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I imagine most would say that nothing worth doing is easy. That probably rings true for us too. We’ve had our fair share of ups and downs just like any other business but overall I would say we’re very fortunate to have had relatively smooth sails.
Partnerships are hard for most. We thankfully laugh our way through a lot of the harder situations and have remained very strong in this area.
As I write this, I’m trying to think of something that may have been a struggle. Thankfully nothing relevant is coming to mind which must mean that our ‘solutions-focused-mindset’ has paid off :).
As you know, we’re big fans of R2M2 Software. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
R2M2 Software provides customized solutions to clients with trusted support to back it up. We specialize in multi-faceted businesses. A typical client of ours may have a resort which includes front desk operations, retail & restaurant and cannot find a solution that truly ties all of that together.
Our ability to tie it all together is definitely our differentiator in the market. From bookings, to payments, to online capabilities through to digital waivers and a CRM all built in, we’ve certainly set ourselves apart.
We are most proud of the laughs we get when people as us if there’s any reference to Star Wars in our name. Man, our name is what helped peak the interest of our first client who remains with us today –> so we’re pretty proud of that.
We would love for readers to know that today, nearly 10 years later there is really no business we cannot serve with our software and we look forward to helping not only resorts but businesses like gyms, spas, cigar shops, golf courses, antique stores and more today. We would like them to know we’ll be around for years to come and they would be hard pressed to find a team that approaches support the way we do… perhaps, yet another differentiator for us in the markets we serve.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I’m speaking for our entire team here; What matters most are our clients success & happiness!
We know that for most small businesses it’s hard to pull together a team with the right expertise to tackle projects like onboarding/transitions to new systems. It’s often hard to communicate with software companies about the things you would like to see happen within a system. For us, we will always have our listening ears on when working with clients on meeting their immediate needs and assisting them with future planning and development.
