Holly, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After nearly 30 years leading teams, developing product lines, innovating with suppliers, and partnering with buyers, I built a strong career in Product Development and Merchandising. When my company relocated, I chose to remain in Kansas City and pursue a new path.

I’ve always had a passion for cars. My dad taught me basic car care when I was a teenager, though I never imagined working in automotive services. As a woman, I hope to bring a fresh and needed perspective to the industry. I understand how easily women can feel dismissed or taken advantage of at repair shops, and I believe representation—and advocacy—truly matter. I want to help change that experience for everyone.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business is never easy. I was only the second person to sign on with the Costa Oil franchise, which meant growing and learning right alongside the brand. Because of that, the process took time—nearly three years—while navigating changes in real estate partners, securing a location, and working through the early-stage challenges that come with a new franchise system.
We’re still in our ramp-up period, but we’re excited to be in a fantastic location within a new development in Parkville. The community is gradually discovering us, and recognition is steadily growing.
