Meet Kyondra Moss of Living Looks Good on You

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyondra Moss.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Ky’Ondra Moss, and I’m a certified purpose-led life coach. As a little girl, I loved school—teaching, reading, and writing came naturally to me. I knew early on that I would teach in some way, shape, or form. At the end of each school year, my elementary teachers would load me up with worksheets and workbooks so I could play “school” over the summer. And of course, I made my siblings and cousins be my students while I played the teacher.

I went to college for Elementary Education, but after having children of my own, I realized teaching young children wasn’t the direction I wanted anymore. I transitioned into a career in corporate America in training and development. It didn’t take long for me to grow in that space. I loved reading companies’ Standard Operating Procedures and breaking them down in a way anyone could understand. Very quickly, I realized I had a true gift for teaching. But even then, something was missing. I felt this void I couldn’t shake. I knew I was called to something more, something different, impactful, and life-changing.

It wasn’t until I had a real encounter with God that I realized what that “more” was. I always believed in God, but I wasn’t truly following Jesus. Three years ago, I surrendered my life fully to Him, and He changed everything. He showed me that the gifts I had been developing all my life were meant to help women grow in their faith, discover their gifts and talents, and step into a life of purpose; a life that fulfills them, serves others, and glorifies God. Sometimes that looks like launching a new career, starting a business, overcoming limiting beliefs, healing spiritually, or simply learning to walk boldly in what God has called them to do.

Today, I coach women both individually and in group settings. I lead a small home church called The Lighthouse, I host women’s Bible studies, and I create devotionals all with the heart to help women grow closer to God and live with intention. Every gift God has given me; I want to give right back to Him because I know He can do far more with them than I ever could on my own.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Has it been a smooth road? Not at all! Following Jesus will cost you something, and stepping fully into purpose has cost me everything I once put before Him. It’s cost me relationships, finances, my previous lifestyle, and even the life I thought I wanted. But I don’t complain, because I’ve gained so much more than I lost.

I’ve gained a love I didn’t even know existed. I’ve come to know God as my healer, my comforter, my provider, and the one who filled every void I once carried. The emptiness I felt before is gone, and now I know Him as the void filler.

Another struggle along the way has been not being accepted in certain rooms because of my faith. People loved the idea of purpose coaching, but not when God was attached to it. And honestly, I believe you can have a great job, an amazing career, or a thriving business but true purpose only comes from God.

In the beginning, being turned away was hard. It often felt like one closed door after another and rejection after rejection. I even had to decline opportunities that might have opened doors for my business, but I wasn’t willing to compromise who I serve and why I do what I do. And trust me when I say standing firm in what God has called me to has been worth every single “no.”

That’s why I’m genuinely grateful for this opportunity to share both my business and my ministry. I’ve watched God use my life and my “yes” through coaching, and I’ve seen my obedience open doors for women to discover healing, confidence, and purpose. Yes, there have been many obstacles, but I truly count it all joy.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business was built on purpose with a purpose and that’s to help women of faith grow spiritually, discover their God-given gifts, and walk boldly in the life He’s called them to. I’m a certified Christian Life Coach who specialize in purpose coaching, building confidence, and helping women renew their mindset through scripture and mentorship; not just from a motivational standpoint, but from a biblical foundation. What sets me apart is that God is truly at the center of everything I do. I’m not just coaching women; I’m partnering with the Holy Spirit to help them break cycles and renew their mindsets.

My clients know me for creating safe spaces, places where women can be honest, vulnerable, and open about what they’re facing. I’m most proud that my brand is rooted in integrity, obedience, and faith. Nothing I offer is surface-level; every program, session, and resource is intentionally created to bring transformation, not just inspiration. I’m also grateful to witness how coaching has changed the lives of the women I work with. Seeing them love God fully, step out courageously, and use their gifts to start businesses and new careers has been so fulfilling for me, it’s the perfect reminder of why I fell in love with coaching in the first place.

I offer an 8-week one-on-one coaching program, group coaching, workshops, and I’ve created a reflection journal all designed to help women gain clarity, build confidence, strengthen their relationship with God, and move forward with purpose. My heart is to see people healed, whole, and walking in identity because when you know who you are in God, everything changes. If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s that a life of joy and fulfillment is waiting for you. I’ve lived on both sides, and nothing compares to the peace and joy that comes from aligning your life with God’s will.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about our city is the talent. Kansas City is a beautiful place filled with incredibly gifted people, creatives, entrepreneurs, visionaries, and purpose-driven individuals. There’s something special about the passion and heart people have here.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is getting to walk alongside those same people, helping them uncover their gifts, build confidence in who God created them to be, and step boldly into purpose. Kansas City is full of people with God-given potential, and I love being a part of their journey of discovery and growth.

As for what I like least, I’d say it’s that so many gifted people don’t always realize just how much purpose is inside of them. Sometimes they doubt themselves or shrink back and that’s where coaching comes in. I’d love to see more people in our city embracing who they are, because Kansas City really is full of hidden gems.
