We recently had the chance to connect with Michael Young and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
A dream. A modeling dream to be exact. I inspire to create change within myself and others. My modeling career is one of my biggest passion(s). I know if I stopped now then all my talents and work wouldn’t mean nothing. Plus changing my life and family life.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Michael Young, mostly known for fashion and modeling. I would call myself a minor influencer working towards being major influencer and super model. Currently working with a couple brands to do some work. Forever Lokal and Energy Over Clout(EOC). If interested in seeing they work go on IG and you can find them. Always working on myself as a brand and business.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My father. He was one of the first people that lead me to believe in myself. Truly one of my biggest influences on life and myself. He made me look at the world different and also how i viewed myself in it. Major impact.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t let the world shape you. You shape the world around you. You deserve everything you can think of. Water your own flowers before gardening everyone else’s.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes and no in so many ways and words. What you see is what you get but there are layers to me and it’s all about how far you trying to get to know the real me or the surface version. Either way the public eye of me I always real.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Constantly doing that today and for the last years I’ve been finding and doing what I love. I believe I’ll keep doing that even if don’t. I just pray one day that I will get recognized for it.
