Ericka , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I didn’t set out to start a consulting firm. I set out to fix what I saw breaking really good people and organizations in healthcare. Early in my career, I worked inside hospitals and physician groups and saw firsthand how much time and energy went into just trying to stay afloat. Brilliant leaders were stuck in systems that made growth and innovation feel impossible.
Beeler Consulting was born out of that frustration and a belief that healthcare can work better. What started as me helping a few practices get independent has grown into a firm that now supports hospitals, specialty groups, and MSOs across Kansas and Missouri. We build business infrastructure that lets healthcare organizations actually thrive — operationally, financially, and strategically.
At our core, we believe healthcare deserves better leadership, better alignment, and better systems. My job, and my team’s, is to make that happen, one organization at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not even close, but I wouldn’t trade the hard parts for anything. Building a consulting firm in healthcare means living in the middle of complexity every single day. You’re balancing financial realities, broken systems, and human emotion — all while trying to push change in an industry that doesn’t move easily.
There were seasons where I questioned everything: the workload, the risk, the pace. I bootstrapped the business, took on projects that stretched me, and learned the hard way how to lead, hire, and scale without losing the heart of why I started.
But every challenge forced clarity. It made the company stronger, the work smarter, and the mission sharper. The hard parts have been the best teachers; they taught me how to build a business that’s not just successful, but meaningful.

If you’ve ever seen my Culture Index, you know I’m a daredevil. I take risks. Calculated ones, but real ones. I firmly believe you can’t create real impact without stepping out of your comfort zone. Playing it safe might keep things steady, but it doesn’t move anything forward.
Every major milestone in my career came from taking a leap, starting my own firm, hiring before it felt “safe,” and saying yes to complex projects that stretched us. Those risks forced growth. They made me sharper and made our company stronger.
To me, risk is part of leadership. You have to be willing to bet on your vision, even when the path isn’t perfectly clear. That’s how you drive what I call rockstar results, by getting uncomfortable, trusting your gut, and refusing to sit back when something big is possible.
