Today we’d like to introduce you to Mandy Rochon.
Hi Mandy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey began back in 2014, when I was struggling with stubborn baby weight, depression, confidence, and had no idea where to start. I decided to take a part-time job at a gym just to learn — and that’s where everything changed. I started building healthy habits, fell in love with lifting, and eventually lost 40 pounds.
By 2016, I stepped on stage for my first bodybuilding show — and I was hooked. From there, I became a certified nutritionist and later a personal trainer, dedicating my life to helping other women transform just like I did.
Over the years, I competed in multiple shows, I started coaching lifestyle and prep clients, teaching posing for the stage, and even worked alongside one of the biggest bodybuilding promoters across the NPC Midwest for two years.
In 2023, I launched the Bikinis After Babies podcast with my co-host Gillian Hughes — created to inspire moms everywhere to see just how strong, capable, and confident they can be after motherhood.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, not at all!
Many obstacles from family and friends not understand my lifestyle change. Losing friends who don’t agree with healthy habits. Understanding our bodies are always changing and there is a time and place to be stay shredded and not.
Taking time away from prepping for shows to focus on family and balancing remaining active in the sports. Managing everything gets overwhelming and finding ways to juggle everything
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a virtual lifestyle and prep coach. I specialize in helping women lose stubborn fat, build habits, and step on stage.
I teach posing online and in person. Learning how to pose on stage.
I am so proud to help women achieve goals they dreamed of and being apart of their journey. Teaching them how they can choose them which helps them be who they want to be.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Stay humble, stay consistent, and constantly put yourself out there at events, seminars, expos, events, or anything in the space so people get to know you. Even offer free help to help other companies or people to work on getting your face out there.
Take your time and just keep posting and going. Give your self grace as your body is always changing.
