Exploring Life & Business with Exiled: Trail Of Terrors of Exiled: Trail of Terrors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Exiled: Trail Of Terrors.

Hi Exiled: Trail of Terrors, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Exiled: Trail of Terrors started nine years ago as a specialty tour for the Halloween season. Originally meant as a haunted zip line tour, trial and error found that it didn’t really provide the ability to go as all out as we wanted. But from up on the towers it became clear that we had the perfect stage all around us: the trails running through the valley used for other events could easily be transformed into a twisting path through a living nightmare. Thus the Trail of Terrors earned its name, and a budding legacy began. Each season we try change it up, limited only by our imaginations to create new and terrifying experiences for everyone.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh there are struggles for sure. The first is always having to get the word out, and with getting the word out comes having to make the kind of lasting first impression that makes people keep wanting to come back and bring their friends and family. The main one is probably having good ole Kansas weather and all its eccentricities to work against: surprise evacuations for storms, equipment falling to rain and cold, finding ways to keep actors warm, etc. But with time has come wisdom and the flexibility to roll with the punches, so even with the struggles and the bumps along the way we keep coming back better each year.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Exiled is a haunted trail that takes you through the woods in the black of night to face your fears in the wide open. Why be limited by four walls and a roof when you can get your cardio and your steps in at the same time? We have nearly 20 different scenes to explore across 1/2 mile of twisted, winding trail, and when you’re done getting terrified the trail spits you right out into our twisted carnival where you can play a variety of games, hang out at the bars, see live entertainment, and get some warm food. And if you don’t think you can brave the trail, we offer tickets solely for the carnival so there’s something for the whole family!

How do you define success?
Success is the fine art of taking the hand you’ve been given and learning to work with it to mold it into something even greater than what you started with, and being able to enjoy that process with the people who stick with you the whole way.
