Hi Sharon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
For 25 years, I worked as an Interior Designer, decorating some of the finest homes in the Kansas City area, before switching careers to nonprofit work, where I have been a grant writer for the past 15+ years. For many years, I made a milk chocolate fudge that I gifted to my friends and family during the Christmas holidays. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, I was unable to maintain this tradition, and recipients of this chocolaty treat expressed how much they missed it and looked forward to it each year. With a big, PLEASE from my Choc-a-holic husband, Max, I decided to make this sweet, creamy fudge available all year round. And I must admit, being able to eat my fudge every day makes me very, very happy!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The main challenge is making people aware of our presence. Despite extensive advertising, we still frequently meet individuals who haven’t heard of us.

Originally from Kansas City, my husband and I, along with several cats, moved to Atchison twenty years ago when the area where we lived was scheduled for redevelopment. What drew us to this city was its small-town charm and magnificent historic homes.
