Today we’d like to introduce you to Peggy Miller.
Hi Peggy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Miller Marketing Group was founded by Peggy Eddy Miller & Bob Miller, born and bred Kansas Citians, ( we are a woman-owned business), with the desire to provide diverse and high-quality entertainment solutions for the Greater Kansas City Metro & surrounding areas. My Dad was Sam Eddy of the Eddy’s Restaurants, and with his 2 brothers, they opened the Plaza Bowl in 1939,
one of the first bowling alleys in the United States.
From Frozen Drink Rentals and Beverage Catering to Mobile Disc Jockeys, MMGMP has served up the party in Kansas City since 1981.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a constant learning process. When both my husband and I lost our jobs with the Airlines and my Husband Bob lost his job in Medical Sales in 1982, right after we were married only 6 months, we knew we had to get creative and not depend on other companies for our livelihood!
From 1983 to 1990, we had 4 kids and decided in 1990 to open our own Rental business of Frozen Beverage machines!
We ran our own DJ and Video Production company from 1983 to 2018. My husband Bob DJ, and I would create videos for brides for the night before their wedding of the Bride and groom’s lives coming together.
Since 2015, we have only focused on Frozen Drink machine rentals! www.MMGMP.com
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in Frozen Beverage rental machines for EVENTS. We bring the machine to an event, roll it in on a cart set it up, supply the mix, then pick up the machine & we clean it. You supply your own liquor.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am also Co-Founder of the Bret Miller 1T Foundation, dba Male Breast Cancer Happens. My second son, Bret, was diagnosed at age 24 and is now turning 40 on Nov. 5th and has Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, and is going through treatment at the University of Kansas!
We are the only Midwest Frozen Beverage Rental in business for 44 years.
