Hi Brittney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m Brittney, the owner and designer behind Always In Bloom ✨
With a background in graphic design, merchandising, marketing, and sales, I started this brand with one dream — to create pieces so magical, so detailed, and so unlike anything else out there that every little girl could feel like she’s stepped into her own fairytale.
Our very first official drop launched in March 2022, and I still pinch myself seeing how much we’ve bloomed since then! 🌷 Every single piece is designed by me, down to the tiniest trim — and most of our prints are custom-designed in house or hand-painted collaborations that make each collection truly one-of-a-kind.
I was born and raised right here in Parkville, Missouri (just outside Kansas City — Go Chiefs! ❤️💛). My husband and I have been together for 15 years, and we have two little loves: our 7-year-old mini-me Isabelle and our 3-year-old ball of sunshine, Benny Boo.
I started this journey back in 2021 — at my kitchen table, pregnant with my second baby, working a full-time job (I know… CRAZYYY 😅). What began as a late-night dream quickly grew into something beyond my wildest imagination.
Fast forward to today — we’ve officially been in our brand-new warehouse + office space for 6 months (woohoo!!), and we’re so proud to have a beautiful storefront in the heart of downtown Parkville, MO and have 3 employees! 🌸 It’s been such an incredible ride watching this little dream bloom into something so special.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road! — this has truly been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Building this brand from scratch has stretched me in every possible way — mentally, emotionally, and even physically. There were so many nights I sat at my kitchen table after everyone went to bed, exhausted but determined to keep going.
I started Always In Bloom during one of the busiest seasons of my life — pregnant with my second baby, working full-time, and caring for a toddler.
There were times when shipments were delayed, when production fell through, or when I felt like everything was falling apart. But every single challenge taught me something — patience, resilience, and the strength to keep moving forward even when things felt impossible.
Through it all, my family has been my reason. My children are my inspiration and the heart behind everything I create. I wanted to build a life where I could have my dream job and the flexibility to be there when they need me. More than anything, I want them to see that anything is possible if you work hard and believe in yourself. They’re part of the team — helping unpack boxes, tagging along to photoshoots, and bringing joy to every part of this journey.
It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Watching a dream that started at my kitchen table bloom into something real — something loved by so many families — makes every challenge worth it.

Always In Bloom is a children’s clothing brand built on a love for art, storytelling, and the magic of childhood. Every piece we create is designed to make little girls feel beautiful, confident, and imaginative — like they’ve stepped right into their own fairytale.
We specialize in small-batch, thoughtfully designed clothing and accessories that blend timeless charm with playful, modern details. Each design starts with a sketch on my desk and grows into something truly special — many of our prints are custom-designed in-house or hand-painted through artist collaborations, making every collection one of a kind.

I’m most proud of how far we’ve come — from my kitchen table to a beautiful storefront in downtown Parkville, Missouri, where families can experience the magic in person. I pour my heart into every detail, from design to packaging, because I want every customer to feel like part of our story.
At its core, Always In Bloom is about celebrating childhood, creativity, and family — and I hope our pieces become part of those cherished memories that last a lifetime. 🌸
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is family, creativity, and connection. My family is my “why” — they’re the reason I started Always In Bloom in the first place. I wanted to build something that allowed me to do what I love while still being present for the people I love most. My kids inspire every collection, every color palette, every story we tell through our designs.
Creativity is at the core of everything I do. Designing each piece — down to the tiniest trim or button — is my way of bringing a little more beauty and magic into the world. I truly believe childhood should be full of imagination, color, and joy, and I want our clothing to reflect that feeling.
And most of all, connection matters. Always In Bloom has grown into a community — not just a brand. I’ve met so many amazing families and moms who share stories, photos, and love for what we create. Knowing that something I dreamed up at my kitchen table has become part of other families’ special moments means everything to me.
