Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t. always been a smooth road but the challenges brought me more knowledge and showed my persistence was because I love what I do so much it doesn’t even feel like work. My father always taught me that no matter what you do in life if you love it, it won’t ever feel like your working and that true success! My passions bring me so many blessings, friendships, freedom and so much joy.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Beauty From Within KC?
I have many specialties. I started out over 25 years ago as a makeup artist. I specialize in weddings. I absolutely love making brides and their wedding party feel beautiful on their special day. I am always up for a fun event too or a creative photo shoot! That naturally lead me to the world of esthetics. In order to have a great palette for makeup good skin and good skincare is a must. I have loved this industry so much! The best part is the relationships I’ve been blessed with along my career. I don’t like saying I have a clientele, the people I’ve been blessed with are more like family. We share stories and life every 4-6 weeks. I’ve had many clients for 12-25 years, that’s a lot of history together.
I only use the finest and cleanest products in my skincare and makeup practice. I am no pressure and very trusted, I won’t sell anything that I don’t use myself or for my own family.
In addition to my above offerings, I firmly believe that beauty radiates from the inside out. What sets me apart is that I am more concerned with inner beauty and then we can focus on the outer beauty. I am also an Emotion Code practitioner as well as a business development coach for Christian women who are ready to embark on a business journey of their own.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I have so many but the things that stand out are:
I have loved makeup since I first saw it in my mom’s beauty drawer. She too loves makeup and she was definitely a pivotal part of my journey. She saw I had a natural gift and allowed me run with it. She purchased only the very best for me and my sister and I made friends with all the fun ladies that worked at the makeup counters, fun fact years later I worked with my all time favorite gals in the industry around 19 years old. Everything really does come full circle in life. One of favorite makeup purchases was at 9 years old on the Plaza in KC at the Untied Colors of Benetton store, I’m dating myself here, I got their blue eyeliner! Super cool at the time!
The other memory goes back to my father. He was an entrepreneur and he instilled that in all of his kids too. He is the reason I started my own business and I’ve never looked back! I love being a business owner. I’m a natural creative so I have many businesses and always will.
