Life & Work with Austin Danner of Mission, KS

Today we’d like to introduce you to Austin Danner.

Hi Austin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started Loose Creative after years in sales, face to face, commission only, closing deals at kitchen tables. That experience taught me more about people than any marketing course ever could. I learned what makes someone trust you, what makes them hesitate, and how small things in communication change everything.

When I moved into digital marketing, I saw the same problems showing up online. Great businesses were losing opportunities because their message and their systems were not working together. So I built Loose Creative to fix that.

We help local service companies turn their marketing into something predictable, not just posting, hoping, or discounting, but using strategy, ads, and brand clarity to create steady growth.

It started as just me testing campaigns late at night. Now it is a small studio that helps home service brands, remodelers, and local venues align how they look, sound, and sell.

At the core, Loose Creative is about helping good businesses finally look as strong as they really are, and giving them a system that keeps bringing in customers long after the ad spend stops.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Most of it has been trial and error. When you work for yourself, there is no playbook, so you learn by making mistakes and adjusting fast.

In the beginning, I said yes to everything just to stay afloat. I took on projects that were not a fit, worked long hours, and tried to do everything myself. It taught me a lot about discipline, but it also showed me how easy it is to lose focus when you are chasing money instead of building systems.

There were times I felt stuck between wanting stability and wanting to create something bigger. What helped me push through was staying curious. Every struggle gave me another piece of clarity about how to run things smarter, not just harder.

Looking back, the rough parts were necessary. They forced me to slow down, learn how business really works, and start building Loose Creative into something that runs on structure instead of stress.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My background is in sales, so everything I do at Loose Creative comes from that lens. I spent years sitting across from people, learning why they actually buy. It’s rarely just the product or the price. It’s how clearly you communicate value, how confident you are in what you’re offering, and how simple you make the next step.

That experience shaped how I approach marketing. I don’t see ads or websites as creative projects. I see them as sales tools that should remove friction, build trust, and guide someone toward action. Every campaign we run starts with one question: what makes a person say yes here?

Loose Creative specializes in helping local service businesses find that answer and turn it into a repeatable system. Whether it’s paid ads, messaging, or brand positioning, the goal is always the same: make it easier for the right people to choose you.

What I’m most proud of is seeing businesses that used to rely only on word of mouth start growing consistently because of a strategy we built together. That tells me we didn’t just make something look better. We made it work better.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Claude Hopkins said, “The road to success lies through ordinary people. They form the vast majority. The man who knows them and is one of them stands the vastly better chance.” That idea has shaped how I approach both sales and marketing.

If you want to grow, you have to understand people. Not the perfect customer in a strategy deck, but real people, the ones who are busy, skeptical, and just trying to solve a problem. When you can speak to them clearly and honestly, you do not need tricks.
