Hi Bethany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a local wife, mom, and teacher with a lifelong passion for bringing people together. What better way to do that than by helping others create magical, memorable experiences?
The inspiration for my glam slumber tents came from my amazing friend, Page Waterman. When I lived in Branson, Page expanded her business to include tent sleepovers and I absolutely fell in love with the idea! After my husband and I moved to Kansas City, I asked Page if I could use her idea as inspiration, and she couldn’t have been more supportive. From there, we ran with it!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t want to jinx anything, but so far, this has been an amazing experience! Starting a business can definitely be scary, but with the support of my husband, family, and friends, it feels like any challenge that comes my way is something we face together.
The biggest obstacle so far was definitely the startup phase. Building a website, setting up a communication platform, figuring out advertising, and deciding which products to purchase. It’s been a learning curve, but an incredibly rewarding one!

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that might surprise a lot of my clients is that I’ve recently started dabbling in balloon arches! It’s been so much fun learning a new craft and experimenting with designs I used to think were only possible on Instagram. I love how the balloon décor adds an extra touch of magic to my business model and really helps bring parties to life. It’s been such a rewarding creative outlet and a great way to keep expanding what I can offer!
