Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Meredith.
Hi Natalie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 2020 I was GM of a dog training academy when my boss and life partner became an unhealthy living situation. After it escalated to domestic violence in 2021, my child and I went to live in a shelter. It was there that I qualified for a program at Pawsperity to become a dog groomer. I completed the six month course, moved out of the shelter and have launched my own business in 2025.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My family has faced a number of challenges to be where I am today. We faced homelessness, poverty, and trauma.
As you know, we’re big fans of Furever Family Dog Care . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Furever Family offers mobile dog grooming and in-home pet sitting services to all of the greater KC metro area. I have over 4 years hands on experience grooming pets and have been handling dogs since 2020. By bringing my services into the home, my clients feel like a part of the process. Being able to share this experience brings the groomer, pet and owner closer together.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Patience is key when handling animals. Every animal has a personality and temperament of its own. Every groom must be catered to meet the needs of the pet.
