Meet Lexi And Maddi Heise of Walli’s Wellness Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexi And Maddi Heise.

Hi Lexi and Maddi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Maddi and Lexi Heise are two sisters from Kansas City on a mission to empower their community’s well-being. Like many, they once navigated demanding corporate careers, feeling an undeniable gap between their daily grind and their true aspirations. That all changed in January 2025, when they took a leap, resigned from their roles, and dedicated themselves to building a one-stop shop for balance and self-care—a place where others can find serenity.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any start-up, we have faced obstacles such as scheduling software issues, building a client base, and establishing brand recognition. We know these things take time and patience, so we are working consistently on taking one day at a time and doing what we can to fill a need in our community.

We’ve been impressed with Walli’s Wellness Studio, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Walli’s Wellness Studio is a one-stop shop for self-care. We offer a variety of yoga formats, as well as personal training, nutrition coaching, and unique events/workshops. We are also a bookstore! Our shelves carry several different genres, including various fiction, self-help, wellness, business, etc. Our goal is to have something for everyone!

We are proud of how we’ve blended several self-care modalities into one business. We like to say, “If you don’t like books, we have yoga/fitness. If you don’t like yoga/fitness, we have books. If you don’t like either, we have a dog.”

Our dog, Walter, is the “mascot” of our business. We “foster-failed” him last December, and since then, he has been a beautiful addition to not only our family but our studio atmosphere.

We hope to inspire people to prioritize their self-care, emotional and physical well-being, and community engagement.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
We recommend trying everything. Play around with different ads, tweak your website as needed, post unique content, and connect with surrounding or similar businesses. Leaning on your community is crucial, as there are often ways you can help them too. You may think you know everything, but there is always another lens to try on when looking at your business. Ask people questions, be open-minded, and believe in yourself and your mission!
