Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeffrey Tiller.
Hi Jeffrey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started Omni Entertainment in 1987. We book bands, DJ’s, Emcees, Magicians, National acts Etc all over the region and nationwide. I have Had the company for 38 years. The pandemic completely shut the music business down in 2020 for over 2 years. During that time I started Notary Now where I notarize all types of documents, real estate, Auto, POA etc. I’m a mobile signing agent, so I travel to the location of the signers. The music business kicked back up in late 2022, so I have both businesses going and both doing well.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not a smooth ride at all. When I started Omni I had to complete with many established agencies. I work extremely hard and almost every day. Eventually I broke thought and the company has done well.
When I started Notary Now, I was very overwhelmed when I received ny first refinance pack. 160 pages. I kept my nose to the grindstone and taught myself all the ins and outs of the business. Within a few months I had in down. And have done around 1500 norarizations.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in provided the best musical act available of all events venues. It has worked out well. I know most acts in the region and am very well known and established. I have kelp some account for long periods, one for over 25 years now, and several 10-20 years. I’m very consistent and work very hard.
On Notary Now, I try to be the most professional and respectful possible. I’ve never been late to an appointment, and usually receive 100% repost on my orders. I really enjoy the job.
I’m most proud of being able to work for myself, basically my whole life. Provide for myself and my family. I really do not know any other way. I’m very please and have a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. No regrets.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see the music business not showing much growth. The younger generation, does not participate in playing instruments for the most part, there are exceptions. Sad for me to see, I hope I’m wrong. I think the business will stay consistent for at least the next 10 years, and you never know, there can always be a time when things return.
I see the my notary business exploding in the coming years, with drops in interest rates, and younger generations buying, homes cars, etc
