Hi Justin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After nearly 20 years in the Information Technology industry, I knew I was ready for a change. Spending hours behind a computer screen, helping a global organization grow, was no longer fulfilling. I knew I wanted to “help people in their real life”, but I did not know what that meant yet. Then Covid happened, and life changed. At the time I was working in the hospitality industry, and with Covid everyone stopped traveling. The team I was leading faced layoffs, and since I was already considering leaving I voluntarily resigned my position. Now was my time to make a change and put my faith in God showing me my next adventure. Around the same time, we purchased an RV and started a new style of camping. On one of those trips we noticed an issue with the RV roof. It wasn’t a major issue, but something that needed addressed. As we called the RV repair shops in town, we were told there was a two to three month wait. Knowing the issue was small, and we could still enjoy camping trips, we asked to be placed on the wait list. They laughed on the phone and said something to the effect of “oh no, it is only on the wait list if it is here on our lot”. At that point the light bulb went off – there has to be a better way of doing this. So my wife and I decided to start a Mobile RV Repair business. Our primary mission was to help people, save a vacation, and to finally “help people in their real life”. Our goal was not to get rich, but rather to serve with faith, repair with purpose, and empower with knowledge.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Our journey has been far smoother than we expected. It was not easy to have faith in such a large change all at once. Not only was I changing careers, I was moving to an entirely different industry during all the uncertainty surrounding Covid. Throughout the process, all we could do was have faith and follow our hearts. We have been so blessed by great customers, amazing peers and God had worked out all the details!

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
We are always looking for ways to better serve our customers and our mission. We would love to expand our service offering to include RV Storage. Customers can expect to see a Faithful RV Storage lot in the Kansas City Area, where they can store their RV as well as receive on-site repairs! Our family would also love to take Alpha on the road. If you’re not familiar with Alpha, it is for anyone who is curious about God, faith, or life. People come for different reasons and from different backgrounds. No question is out of bounds, and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any religious background or belief in the Christian faith. Alpha is important to our family, because it was the spark that started this journey into serving others through RV Repair!
