Rising Stars: Meet Tony Le of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Le.

Hi Tony, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Sure! My journey into videography started pretty organically. I’ve always been drawn to storytelling and capturing moments, but it really took off when I first got a cinema camera. At first, I was just learning the ropes, but over time I fell in love with the process of turning real emotions and memories into films people could relive forever.

From there, I kept investing in my craft improving my skills, upgrading my gear, and really focusing on how to make each project feel unique to the couple or client I was working with. Eventually, that passion turned into my career. Today, I get to do what I love, creating films that are personal, timeless, and meaningful.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. When I first started, I had to figure out a lot on my own, everything from the technical side of filmmaking to running the business side of things. There were moments where I questioned if I was good enough or if I could really make a living doing what I love.

Balancing creativity with deadlines, learning how to communicate with clients, and building a steady stream of work all came with their own challenges. But each obstacle pushed me to grow, and looking back, those struggles are what shaped me into the videographer I am today. They gave me the drive to keep improving and the perspective to really appreciate the wins.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in wedding videography, capturing one of the most important days of people’s lives and turning it into a film they can treasure forever. What I’m most proud of is being able to create videos that feel personal and emotional not just a highlight reel, but something that truly reflects each couple’s story and personalities.

I think what sets me apart is the way I focus on connection. I take time to get to know my clients, understand what matters most to them, and then bring that to life through my lens. It’s less about following a formula and more about crafting something timeless and unique for every couple I work with.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, I definitely see myself growing beyond being a one-person operation. Right now, I film weddings on my own, but my goal is to build a small team that shares the same passion and vision I have for storytelling. Having a team would allow me to take on more projects, push creativity even further, and give couples an even richer experience.
