Inspiring Conversations with Anyi Pujols of Amazing Anyi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anyi Pujols.

Hi Anyi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Anyi Pujols, and my journey began when I migrated to the United States in 1997. English was my second language, and from a young age I often found myself translating for my family at schools, appointments, and in everyday interactions. Those early experiences made me deeply aware of the disparities Spanish speakers face when trying to access even the simplest services.

That awareness stayed with me as I grew older. I knew firsthand how stressful and discouraging it can feel to be overlooked or misunderstood simply because of language. Five years ago, I decided to take that experience and turn it into something meaningful — creating a business dedicated to bridging that gap in my community.

Today, I provide notary, Spanish–English translation, and wedding officiant services throughout the Kansas City metro area. While the services may seem different, they all serve one mission: to make essential processes and life’s most important milestones accessible to everyone, no matter their language.

Over the years, I’ve seen how something as simple as a notarized letter, a well-translated document, or a personalized wedding ceremony can ease stress, remove barriers, and create moments of dignity for people in my community. My work is personal, rooted in the same experiences I had as a child navigating life in a new country — and it’s deeply rewarding to know I’m now able to offer the support I once wished was more available for my own family.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Coming to the U.S. as a child and learning English as my second language, I often felt the weight of navigating two worlds. That experience gave me the drive to start my business, but it also came with challenges — from figuring out how to build everything on my own to overcoming the doubts that come with starting something new.

Balancing family responsibilities while trying to grow my business wasn’t easy either, but every struggle taught me resilience. Each obstacle reminded me why I started in the first place: to make sure others in my community don’t face the same barriers I did growing up, and to provide services that help people feel supported and understood.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business provides bilingual services designed to make life’s important moments easier and more accessible. I specialize in notary work, Spanish–English translation, legal document drafting, and wedding officiating. What sets me apart is the personal experience behind my work — as someone who grew up translating for my family, I know firsthand how stressful language barriers can be.

That’s why I focus on offering services that are professional, approachable, and culturally sensitive. Whether it’s drafting and notarizing legal documents, translating for families, or creating a meaningful wedding ceremony, I take pride in handling the details with care. My brand reflects resilience, community, and connection — ensuring every client feels heard, respected, and supported.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The notary and translation industry is becoming more digital, but human expertise remains essential for verifying documents and ensuring accuracy. Recent laws making most legal entities and documents available only in English have increased the need for bilingual, culturally sensitive services. My business provides notary work, legal document drafting, translation, and wedding officiating, bridging language gaps and making important processes accessible and reliable for all clients.
