Hi DNA, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started out spinning at house parties—just two solo DJs with a shared love for beats. Once we started dating, we turned up the volume and teamed up behind the decks. House parties became bar gigs, bars turned into clubs, and before we knew it, we were dropping sets at festivals. Eventually, we boogied our way from Kansas City to LA, where the disco balls shine brighter and the dance floors never sleep. KC is still where the needle first dropped, but our groove now spans way beyond. #dnapartymusic
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Moving to LA from KC was one of the greatest challenges we ever faced, but the rewards were even greater. Starting out anywhere is always hard when nobody knows your name. Without that recognition and following it can be extremely difficult to get bookings, but having the right attitude and vibes go a long way. We now believe in endless possibilities and can’t wait for what the future holds in store.

DNA is a DJ duo act consisting of Disco and Alex, two star-crossed lovers on a journey to beyond! We are open format but specialize in house, bass, disco, hip hop, and intergalactic space parties.
