Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Harris.
Hi Kyle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My Love for cars started from a very young age. I come from a long line of Mechanics. Growing up my father wasn’t very present but my passion for cars was always there. It really all started around the age of 12 sitting in the back of my childhood best friends fathers ford mustang. Joshua Janes father had a fast and Loud Cherry red ford mustang. I remember cruising the back streets of Odessa, Mo bass so loud it felt as if your heart would pound out of your chest. At that point I knew that’s what i wanted to do. So i started working on friends and family members car stereos, speakers, lighting ect…. I Struggling through school and could not really find fulfillment with any job until i ended up landing a job as a detailer for a local Limousine company. I had worked my tail off and ended up getting promoted to Fleet manager and Electrical specialist. over my 8 year career at Showtime transportation I had the opportunity to Build /rebuild a total of 14 limousines. Updating them to more modern times or giving them a full revamp and bringing them back to life. With Little to no Background in Automotive electronics my mentor (Taylor Hill) and father taught me all that i needed to know about 12v wiring. What started out as a gamble on Taylors part turned into me finding what i am truly passionate about. Having ADHD it has always been extremely hard for me to find something that i was genuinely passionate about. However serving Kansas City and their 12volt needs has not only turned into my passion but my mission. I am now one of Kansas City’s highest rated installers. I specialize in IGLA Anti-Theft, Compustar Car Alarms/ remote starts, car audio, marine audio, lighting…. THIS IS WHAT MAKES MY BRAIN TICK…….
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would be lying if I said everything has been perfect. It has definitely not been a smooth road. There have been many learning curves thrown my way, many mistakes, many hard lessons. I remember i had an older gentleman that was very persistent on hiding a wire on an installation very early in my career. i continued to tuck that wire because he wasnt fully satisfied with how it looked so i continued to tuck the wire and i ended up shattering his windshield in the process. we were both so shocked because neither of us expected it to happen. However i called up an auto glass shop and got it replaced for him the very next day. that was a lesson that was not at all on the agenda but it was a necessary evil in my opinion.

I am the Owner of Mobile Sound & Security. I specialize in IGLA anti-theft, Compustar alarms/remote starts, car and marine audio. I am most known for the quality of work that i produce. Taking pride in what i do, and offering top tier quality every single time. I have learned from the beginning that if you take care of clients they will take care of you. If you offer the best quality their money can buy then you never have to tell them your value. The value speaks for itself. If a client can see the value they don’t care what it costs. It is all about consistency and trust. If you earn a clients trust you have them for life.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was the class clown, I could make friends with anyone and didn’t know a stranger. I had always gravitated towards music, it seemed to be my escape.
