Malik Johnson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Malik, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A few woods in the morning then work then studio and more woods can’t forget the food I eat morning and night

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Yoo what’s up this leek baby everyone favorite fat guy appreciate y’all for messing with my music me as a person and character let’s keep growing as a family

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Funny guy who works a 9-5 and cuts hair

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Losing ppl that holds detrimental values to me a lot of pain losses and grinding and dedication

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Heck yeah other then the eating i really eat almost once a day

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
How I rock out out every time and kill every performance and never had to skip a song out of playlist
