Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Kaleb McIntosh

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kaleb McIntosh. Check out our conversation below.

Kaleb, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I was sitting in prison this time last year making a plan , a plan on how I’m going to do better this time. I found I wasn’t good at much other than music and the streets I was off into… During my stay in incarceration I learned I have a passion for barbering ! I am now in barber school at Old Town Barber College and I even got married I am proud I am progressing to a new chapter !

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kaleb McIntosh, but most people know me as KGMAC. I’m the founder of two unique ventures: Non Stop Grind LLC and Catch A Fade LLC. My journey is all about creating a new path for a better tomorrow, and I do that through music and community.
With Non Stop Grind, I’ve built a non-profit record label to empower artists. We don’t just sign talent; we teach them how to be fully independent, helping them build sustainable careers. On the other side of my world is Catch A Fade, my barbershop. It’s an urban space where I specialize in blurry fades and genuine conversation. I’m dedicated to providing free haircuts for the homeless and less fortunate, and in my chair, I use my own life experiences to mentor and inspire troubled youth. It’s about more than a haircut—it’s about helping them turn a new page.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I got shot in march of 2024 it definitely reshaped how I saw everything and then prison following that helped me in the best way , I now know what I want out of life

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
How to be humble , and content with life as you have it and that as money is needed for life it’s not the most important thing in life. As well as painted a picture that there’s no such thing as failure, just minor set backs

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Family , Life Love Loyalty Knowledge Wisdom and Understanding, all are much more than just words it’s a plan a vision for a better tomorrow , but all in all Family means the most to me without a doubt

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope they give me my flowers for the positive things I’ve been doing and not just the negative things I have done
