KCEMO, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
We’ve been expanding our “tribute-ness”.
We already have an established blink 182 tribute band aside from our regular Emo stuff, and have ventured into other tributes such as our Linkin Park and “divorced dad rock” tribute shows.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We are KCEMO, a cover band made up of 4 losers who love playing all the popular emo and pop punk hits from the early 2000’s. We formed around 2021, and stood out due to the energy we bring on stage, as well as our attention to detail in making sure we play as close to the original bands/songs as we possibly can, and not ruin these timeless classics for the fans!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
Blink 182.. they said it sucked. They were correct.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Coheed is def not an easy band to play, that’s for sure!
Not sure if I’ve heard “success”.. is that off the good Apollo album too?
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yea.. we’re just a little more vulgar off stage.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
We’ve brought a lot of people together by singing the songs that helped us get through both the best and worst of times growing up. We know many strangers who met at our shows and are now truly good friends, and that’s something that can’t be replaced.
