Talena J Da Goddess on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Talena J Da Goddess and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Talena J, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Well First and foremost, Prayer and Coffee for sure! lol I’m in love with southern pecan with hazelnut creamer right now! Then I visit my index of universal plans! Kinda proceed with whatever’s next on the agenda for each Day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Of course! I’m Talena J, musically known as “Da Goddess”! I’m an Artist, Mom, Business Coach and what I like to call an Empire-prenuer!

I just love The Arts and Business altogether you know, especially in spaces where we can use it to cultivate change, growth, and success.

I think what makes My Companies and Brands unique is because they help scale the knowledge of any client A-Z! I don’t just create businesses to operate but to empower and build other bosses.

We’ve talked about The Music label, my brands, Music admin company and Business firm before but I’ve since made some exciting collaborations with MaycorpTech and Indie Is The New Major!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Ooh I Love this question.. That’s Deep! I would say I was definitely already being molded as a child to be exactly what the universe needed me to be Today. I was always a dreamer, creative and wanted to change and improve whatever I could! I Always had a vision and we all know vision is far more than sight. I feel like my family definitely supported that little girl though and it helped me plan my work and work my plans! lol

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I think not really suffering, but struggling with anything rather emotionally, financially, or physically on our journeys teaches us how to survive really. I’ve recently suffered the loss of both my uncle I spoke about in prior interviews and My father now… it does get tough.

However, I learned how to hustle early. You also learn a lot of patience, preparation and perseverance! We just really gotta know that there will always be peaks and valleys in life, and decide what to do in either. Success doesn’t teach you how to get to it. It’s just arrived to! Execution and experience does that.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
I think a lot of intelligent people are far too prideful and forget that there is an audience that just doesn’t know just like they once didn’t before they found out!

Not saying you have to undermine your credentials but I feel like if the goal is really to ignite a flame, you gotta be that candle that lights a million more. Talk with people more and not AT them, and reach them at the level they are currently at.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When have you had to bet the company?
I love this one! Because in the new collaboration I was telling you about, I literally just bet My Tech Company’s content could create a ground breaking innovation for My IITNM Music admin Co. and let’s just say I definitely won that one! We are gearing up for The Beta stages of My new App soon. Merging Tech with Music Biz! I’d say this though, if you’re going to bet on anything, it better be Yourself win, lose or draw. We have to believe and just do the work!
