Today we’d like to introduce you to Julie Robbins.
Hi Julie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started Holloway Home Organization in 2021 as a single mom of four school-aged children. I found that the organizational systems I put in place to keep my own family organized could be shared with and utilized by other busy families as well. It brought me joy to take a client’s home from chaos to calm. The instant gratification of such a transformation was rewarding.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’m so grateful for word-of-mouth advertising. Almost all of my new business comes to me by way of a previous client’s recommendation. I am a one-woman show (except for moves and large jobs in which I partner with another organizer) and sometimes it is a challenge to find the time to say yes to every job. However, that’s a good problem to have!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a professional organizer. I specialize in creating simplified, functional and stylish spaces in homes and offices. I am most proud of all the clients I have been fortunate to help get organized over the years. What sets me apart from others is my relentless drive for perfection on every project, my formidable work ethic and my sincere desire to understand the needs of my clients and then create customized organizational systems that work best for their lifestyle.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I live to travel! I grew up the daughter of an airline pilot and caught the travel bug early on. Having spent a summer as an exchange student in Spain during high school, I went on to major in Spanish and study abroad in Spain during college. Later, I worked as a middle and high school Spanish teacher for many years before having children.
