Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas White.
Hi Nicholas, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Once upon a time in a regular neighborhood, in the midst of Overland Park Kansas, an unlikely
group of friends gathered every Thursday night in a cozy little house in a well used but
welcoming kitchen. They called it “Tea Tuesday” for Nonsensical reasons. The group included a
quirky artist and barista named Jacey, a meticulous yet silly grocery manager named Austin, a
free-spirited musician named Joshua, and a nonsense-loving chef named Nicholas. They all
shared one thing in common: a love for chai.
The journey to create the perfect chai began when Joshua suggested their weekly gatherings
over a cup of tea, needed a spark of excitement, A hand crafted chai tea latte. Each friend
brought their own unique skills and taste preferences to the table. Joshua insisted on using the
finest loose-leaf tea, while Austin and Jacey argued for precise measurements and boiling
times. Nicholas, with his creative flair, wanted to experiment with ideas. they worked with the
spices, adding cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and even a hint of vanilla.
As the weeks turned into months, their ritual became more than just about tea; it was about
friendship, laughter, and a dash of nonsensical banter. They’d often engage in light-hearted
debates over the ideal sweetness level, leading to hilarious taste tests that ended with
everyone’s mouths dry from an incorrect amount of cinnamon.
After countless trials and countless cups of tea, one fateful “Tea Tuesday”arrived. They had
decided to put their efforts to the test. The kitchen was filled with the aroma of brewing spices
and freshly steeped tea. As they brewed their final concoction, they hesitated, eyes wide with
anticipation.
They poured the chai into mismatched cups of all shapes and sizes and took their first sips. A
moment of silence fell over the room. Then, smiles erupted, and joy filled the space. They had
done it! The chai was perfect—smooth, aromatic, and just the right amount of sweetness. The
perfect Chai.
From that night on, their Thursday gatherings transformed; they began inviting more and more
friends to share in their chai miracle. Their ritual, their masterpiece. The little house became a
haven of warmth and camaraderie, where anyone could come to enjoy a cup, share stories, and
feel at home.
Their perfected chai not only brought them closer as friends but also connected them with their
community as new members have joined our group this year, Kenzie, Nathan and Lydia.
this is where the story begins. Our family would love to meet and connect with you at the
Overland Park Farmers market over a freshly made Chai Tea Latte.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Financially this was difficult to achieve. It’s not easy to start from nothing, Me and my friends all chipped in to make a dream the reality.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We love to create custom artwork for our little stand at the farmers market. Credit to our artist Jacey Fox, co-owner of WhiteFox.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Playing in the backyard with my siblings who are with me at the market every Saturday.
