Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Feighny.
Hi Megan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began my journey in healthcare after graduating from Washburn University in 2013 with an MSN as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Since then, I’ve embarked on an incredible path through the medical field. Starting as a Registered Nurse in critical care. Next, I expanded my skills with my Advance Practice career across various areas, including working as a Trauma Nurse Practitioner in the emergency department, as well as in medspa, primary, and urgent care settings.
My unwavering passion for making healthcare safe, affordable, accessible, and non-judgmental has driven me to become a fervent advocate for change. I’m committed to embracing innovative concepts like concierge medicine, mobile medicine, and telemedicine to break down barriers and transform traditional healthcare models.
Having witnessed the challenges many face in accessing quality medical care, I dedicate myself to fostering solutions that are less invasive and more accessible. In a world where healthcare is continually evolving, I’m ready and willing to evolve right alongside it.
I have worked in healthcare for a long time and it has become blatantly clear that it is a broken system. I started this clinic in hopes of making people feel comfortable, seen, and heard, which is something that is unfortunately uncommon in healthcare. Furthermore, I want aesthetics and wellness services to feel warm and accessible. Not cold, overdone, and only for the rich.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been without it struggles for sure. Running a business requires constant adaptation to changes and constantly reassessing and setting boundaries–a struggle for me. That being said, I have the best clients that have helped me build this business from the ground up. We run primarily by referrals and with that we have grown exponentially, so I am grateful we haven’t had to rely a ton on things like marketing and social media. This has allowed me to focus and continue to constantly expand my education and skill sets which then opens up so many doors and services and new clients.
As you know, we’re big fans of Head & Heart Health and Wellness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a home based clinic, which is extremely unique in this field. I’m sure some people find it strange or offputting, but those that don’t become a part of our family. We’ve transformed the space into a vibrant haven where medical-quality treatments meet comfort and affordability.
We love having people visit our home, and it is not unheard of for a client to sit down and play Mariokart with my kids after a treatment or even sit down to dinner with us.
Think glowing skin, aesthetics, injectables, weight loss support, peptide therapies, and more, all without the hassle of traffic or overpriced spa bills–plus a sense of family and community.
We are all about aging gracefully on both the inside and outside. Our services are designed to help you look and feel your best, embracing every chapter with energy and confidence.
With flexible scheduling and even mobile Botox parties, we bring the pampering to you, on your time, and your terms.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Working independently is sort of like being on an island. So, I am constantly networking through events, reps, education, and training. I think the best way to start to find a mentor is just that, to start. Ask around. Some people will certainly say no, but eventually someone will say yes and then you are on your way.
