Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Refine KC Aesthetics was born out of a vision to create a medical spa where science, artistry, and integrity come together to elevate natural beauty. As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with a doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia Practice, I had spent years mastering the art of precision, safety, and patient care in the operating room. But I felt a pull toward something more personal, where I could build lasting relationships with clients and help them feel confident and empowered in their own skin.
What started as a passion for aesthetic medicine quickly evolved into a full-fledged business. With a commitment to delivering high-level results while never compromising safety or ethics, I began offering injectables and medical-grade skincare out of a small space. Word of mouth, referrals, and a loyal client base helped us grow rapidly.
Refine KC is now a thriving medical spa in the heart of Kansas City, offering advanced treatments ranging from injectables and lasers to medical-grade skincare and wellness services. Every step of the way, we’ve stayed true to our core values: honesty, education, individualized care, and clinical excellence.
Today, our team continues to grow but our mission remains the same.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all; and I wouldn’t expect it to be. Like any business owner in the medical aesthetics industry, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. Building a brand from scratch meant wearing all the hats: provider, marketer, manager, HR, accountant, you name it. I started with limited resources, high standards, and a clear vision, but making that vision a reality took grit. Through it all, what’s kept me going is the passion I have for this industry, the relationships I’ve built with my patients, and the belief that women-led businesses in aesthetics can set a new standard for care, professionalism, and impact.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Refine KC Aesthetics, we specialize in results-driven, evidence-based aesthetic medicine with an emphasis on natural-looking enhancements. Our services range from full facial balancing with injectables like Botox, dermal fillers, and Sculptra, to advanced skincare treatments, medical weight loss, laser therapies, and overall skin health optimization.
As a CRNA and injector with an advanced understanding of anatomy and patient safety, I’ve built a reputation for delivering high-quality outcomes that don’t scream “I had work done.” Instead, our patients leave looking refreshed, balanced, and confident, never overdone.
We’re especially known for full facial rejuvenation and our honest, no-pressure approach to consultations. Patients trust us because we’re transparent, educational, and genuinely focused on what’s best for their long-term aesthetic goals, not just a one-time sale.

That means recommending only what’s truly beneficial, saying no when a treatment isn’t appropriate, and never compromising safety or long-term outcomes for short-term gain.
It also means leading with transparency, treating people with respect, and building trust, whether that’s with a first-time patient or a long-term team member.
Why? Because aesthetics isn’t just about looking good; it’s about how people feel. And when someone puts their face, their health, and their confidence in our hands, that’s not something I take lightly.
