A smooth road? I’d say it’s been an exhilarating adventure, paved with incredible learning opportunities! And no, ‘smooth’ isn’t quite the word I’d use – but ‘purpose-driven’ and ‘intensely rewarding’ definitely fit! I’m a firm believer that we, as individuals, are wired to rise to a challenge, and launching Thyme Out Consulting has certainly given me ample chances to prove that philosophy.

Starting a new business, especially one built from the absolute ground up with no initial roster of clients, is a monumental undertaking. You’re not just building a service; you’re building a vision, a brand, an entire ecosystem from scratch. There were definitely moments that stretched me. But honestly, the challenge of creating something truly mine, something that could directly support my boys and myself, wasn’t just a hurdle – it was, and continues to be, an incredible driver. That responsibility fuels my intensity every single day.

Then there’s the ‘behind the scenes’ of entrepreneurship that you don’t fully appreciate until you’re in it! I dove headfirst into learning everything from the intricacies of business design and creation to the art of building a powerful network from scratch.
