Community Highlights: Meet Kellen Arrington-Walker of Essential CreationZ

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kellen Arrington-Walker.

Hi Kellen , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Back in 2016 my father passed away. When he passed I looked at the death certificate and realized everything he passed away from could have been prevented
(diabetes, heart failure, appendicitis) After that I was determined to be the change in my family to be healthier and avoiding sicknesses that run in my family. I started Essential CreationZ a yr later realizing the commercialized products we put on our skin and hair have so many chemicals; so my business started as a skin and hair care line. Not too long after that my brother took me to a herbal store and that was another eye opener for me. I wanted to learn more about how herbs can heal and how beneficial herbs are to the body. After that I started doing my own personal studies and growing my own food, herbs and even my own elderberry bush. I continue to grow my business and created natural deodorants, herbal tea blends, elderberry syrup and so much more. Throughout this journey I have focused on making sure my children understand the benefits of being healthy, teaching them about gardening, understanding their body ( learning about the organs and how they work). I have continued to grow and gain many amazing customers along the way. Last July I asked the Creator could I get shown a sign that this is my true journey that I am supposed to be on. Two months later at my great aunts birthday party, my cousin pointed out that my great grandmother was into herbalism and would always be outside picking herbs. I knew then, this was my purpose and grateful I am continuing to grow within this journey.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would say the journey has been very rewarding. There have been times where I may have questioned some things but I would always get back on track. I would say the part that I have struggled with is the business side of things like taxes and the things most people don’t enjoy when starting a business lol

Essential CreationZ is a holistic business that provides skin and hair care products, herbal tea blends, natural deodorants and so much more. I am also known for being a herbalist, gardener, and overall just living a holistic lifestyle. What sets me apart from others is my personal journey. The experience of losing my father then years later finding out that this was my calling and it runs through my bloodline to be an herbalist. I most proud that this is truly a passion and I touch so many lives. I would like readers to know that my goal is to help my family and community to understand how important living a healthier lifestyle is not only for the now, but for future generations.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The qualities I feel that is most important to my success is always coming from a place of love, always being genuine and truly loving what I do
