Daily Inspiration: Meet Nia Taylor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nia Taylor.

Hi Nia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a certified Trichologist with over 25 years of beauty experience under my belt. I started fresh out of Beauty College with not a client in sight. I stepped out on faith and went straight into a salon my instructor suggested . At the time I had a full time job to sustain my booth rent. As I put in blood, sweat and tears to grow my business I began to see women who sat in my chair suffering from hair thinning, alopecia and breakage in the crown of their heads. I knew it was much deeper than a deep condition. I went to a Bronner Brother’s hair show one year and my life changed… There is where I was introduced to the world of Trichology. At the show I enrolled in the course which took me a year to complete and become a certified Trichologist. After graduating I later went on to move into a private suite and spread my wings in the world of Trichology. I developed a nonprofit organization geared towards hair loss and trained with some of the industry’s best. I have helped tons of people who suffer and still going strong to this day..

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
During this entire journey aside from just struggles with building business which wasn’t too bad I honestly can’t complain.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Aside from just everyday beauty services I specialize in nonsurgical hair replacement. I’m known for my blending techniques making it appear as though it is growing from the scalp. My slogan is “if she can’t grow it you’ll NEVA know it”. I’m most proud of the lives I’ve changed and the self esteem I’ve restored with the God given gift and anointing that flows through these fingertips. Just being a Trichologist alone sets me apart in this saturated industry because there are very few certified Trichologist in KC.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is making sure I’m operating in my calling at my full potential. Once I’m aligned with that work doesn’t feel like work any longer, it then becomes a hobby with total enjoyment
