Meet Erikka French of Kansas City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erikka French.

Hi Erikka, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Ms.Erikka singer/songwriter has been performing locally for 16years. Currently working on her album “ Elevated”. New hit single “Smokin’” is out on all digital platforms. Kansas City native born and raised, my biggest influence as a kid was Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill. Single mother of 4 works hard everyday perfect her craft.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, especially being a single mother of 4. I had to make sacrifices and choices that was comfortable for my kids and for my career.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer/ songwriter- I specialize in singing in varies places all over Kansas City, and I have been writing songs since I was a kid. I am most proud of my creativity and how it has grown over the years. I am different from most because I write about real life situations that I have encountered.
