Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Roberts

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a Missouri native and former Northwest Missouri State football player (Go, Bearcats!). After graduating, I went on to play professionally. During my travels with the NFL, I discovered the self-capture photo studio concept—fun, easy, and packed with unreal photos. It had to exist in KC. So I made it happen. Now, it’s yours to experience.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far the process has not been seamless but the bumps in road have been minor and easy to overcome. The struggles have really been brought upon by me thinking I can be a one man show and not leaning on people that are more knowledge in the things I needed assistance in. So I would say delegating and assigning task has been a struggle.

This is Kansas City’s first self capture photo studio. I believe it is a modern streamlined take on photography that takes the anxiety out of it. We offer a semi private photography studio, with all the necessary equipment, that you can book and capture yourself in all your glory. Our brand is just starting but I want the brand to embody inclusivity, people of walks of life can come utilize the studio and capture themselves. One of our slogans is “who can capture U, better than U” and we everyone to come capture themselves in a comfortable space!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best is the growth that is happening. As I travel I always try to convince people the Midwest is the best “Coast”. I believe we have great food and great vibes and everyone should experience it first hand.
