Kelly Lisette, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always had a deep love for the beauty industry, and from a young age, I knew I wanted to own my own beauty business. My journey started in 2021 when I took classes for ombré powder brows, but I quickly realized that my shyness made it difficult for me to interact with clients. I knew I needed to find a beauty service that not only aligned with my passion but also helped me step out of my comfort zone. That’s when I discovered cosmetic teeth whitening. It was a service I was genuinely interested in, and I noticed it wasn’t widely offered or oversaturated in Kansas City. I decided to go all in, got trained, and immediately fell in love with the process. What made it even more perfect was that it allowed me to work closely with clients without the pressure of constant conversation, giving me the chance to gradually build my confidence. As I continued exploring the beauty world, I found needle-less lip filler, and I was captivated by how it could enhance a client’s confidence instantly. Seeing beautiful women walk out of my establishment feeling more secure in themselves is truly the best part of my job. I’ve since expanded my services to include tooth gems, which pair perfectly with teeth whitening.
Right now, I’m also pursuing a nursing degree so I can take my business even further and ultimately become an aesthetic nurse. My dream is to open a med spa where I can offer a full range of beauty and aesthetic services. This journey has been incredible, and I’m so excited for what’s to come!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest struggles in the beginning was my shyness it made it difficult for me to put myself out there and promote my business. Building a clientele was challenging at first because I wasn’t as confident in talking about my services. Thankfully, that has changed over time. As I’ve grown more confident and proud of my business, I now tell anyone who will listen about what I do! Another challenge has been balancing everything working part-time, working on my business while also going to college full-time. Juggling all three can be overwhelming at times, but I know that all the hard work and sacrifices will be worth it in the end. Every challenge I’ve faced has pushed me to grow.

I’m a proud Latina beauty business owner specializing in cosmetic teeth whitening, tooth gems, and needle-less lip filler. I also offer teeth whitening courses to help others start their own businesses and become their own boss. One of the things I’m most known for is my teeth whitening services they provide fast, noticeable results at an affordable price, making a confident smile more accessible to everyone. What truly sets my business apart is the experience I create for my clients. I don’t just focus on delivering great results; I want every client to feel comfortable and relaxed during their appointment. I’ve designed my space to be a place where people can unwind many even take a nap while getting their teeth whitened! My goal is to provide not just a service but an experience that leaves my clients feeling refreshed, confident, and happy with their results. More than anything, I’m passionate about empowering others. Whether it’s through the beauty services I offer or by teaching my students how to launch their own businesses, I love helping people feel more confident and in control of their future. My brand is all about beauty, self-care, and empowerment, and I’m so proud of the community I’ve built through it.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is playing dress-up with all of my mom’s things her dresses, heels, and especially her makeup! I loved getting creative and pretending I was all grown up, experimenting with different looks. My mom, however, wasn’t exactly thrilled about me getting into her makeup collection! Looking back, I think those moments were the start of my love for beauty and self-expression, which eventually led me to where I am today.
