

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chandler Jacobs
Hi Chandler, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
ChargerGoGo KC launched a little over three years ago as an extension of the national brand “ChargerGoGo.” It all began when I started looking for a way to make a meaningful impact in the community, build a recognizable presence and personal brand, and gain valuable experience along the way. Today, we’ve expanded to 15 locations across the Kansas City metro area and Wichita. Our growth has been driven by grit, determination, and a relentless commitment to our mission. As a one-person team, I make the most of the resources available, doing everything I can to push the brand forward!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road is smooth in some places but rough in others, with many challenges along the way. I believe the biggest hurdle is not just establishing a service but also creating a lasting impression and a strong brand to go with it.
Another challenged I have faced, is not only believing in your vision, but also putting your professional foot forward. Earning respect from not only your customers but also building a mutual respect and responsibility between partners.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Balancing a full-time career and running a business is a lot to juggle. During the day, I work for a sheet metal company in the East Bottoms, specializing in the procurement of sheet metal and other manufacturing materials. However, my role has expanded in exciting ways—I’m now actively involved in ERP implementation and also manage our digital media presence.
Through my career and ChargerGoGo, I’ve been able to grow my expertise beyond procurement. Along the way, I’ve developed skills in digital media creation, business analytics, social media management, and more. Experience has shown me that with enough practice, you can learn almost anything!
What I’m most proud of is taking this risk. Who knows? It might not work out—but with risk comes opportunity, and more importantly, growth.
That’s what sets me apart: my willingness to adapt to any situation to achieve the best outcome.
What’s next?
Our future goal is to become Kansas City’s go-to charging station solution. While our primary focus is continuing to grow in the KC area, we’re also honing in on expanding to another popular summer hangout spot about an hour from Sedalia (hint, hint!).
A dream milestone would be partnering with local sports teams—I hope to make this a reality one day!
Looking ahead, I’d love to hire someone to help grow the business or even expand into surrounding states. More than that, I want to create opportunities for young professionals to learn the ins and outs of building a business from the ground up.
