Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Colvin
Hi Ryan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Working out was my favorite hobby, so I decided to make it my career. My passion for fitness training developed in Manhattan, KS where I was a member at what was the time the oldest gym in Manhattan, Pro Fitness. There, I not only was under the influence of other gym goers, but also one of the best trainers, Walter Barr. My training consistency at the gym lead to a desk job which ultimately lead me to pursue my personal training certification. Today, it has been almost ten years & personal training has led me to Kansas City. I love Kansas City. I would visit here often, so being able to call it home is a true pleasure.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth road & I feel extremely blessed. I’ve been able to train with some of the best people in Manhattan and Kansas City & at some of the best local gyms, too. That’s a true privilege.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I created 3 Tier Fitness with the idea that fitness is for every body. My mission is to promote fitness, health & wellness by providing customized workouts, research & education to all people. I accomplish this by respecting each person on their fitness journey & meeting them where they’re at.
I offer private, online & small group personal training that focuses on improving general fitness & flexibility, muscle & strength gains, functional, core & endurance. I also specialize in Youth Fitness Training.
Besides my radiant smile, my ability to genuinely connect with my clients & give them the undivided attention they deserve is what sets me apart.
I’m most proud of being able to bring my personal training to Kansas City & work with some of the best that KC offers. My services & pricing are all found at 3tierfitness.com.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best “health is wealth.”
Wash your hands, cover your nose when you sneeze & don’t touch your face were valuable lessons learned from the Covid-19 Crisis.
