Daily Inspiration: Meet Aubrey Britt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aubrey Britt

Aubrey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
From a young age I’ve always known that I wanted to do entertainment. I remember sitting in front of the T.V watching America’s Next Top Model every single day. I was the kid in school who was at every audition, rehearsal and show. I even went as far as auditioning for Disney. As high school came to an end I started to realize that the entertainment industry is difficult to get into to. Right after high school I enlisted into the Military. Although the Military was my primary focus modeling and acting still lived in the back of my head. As I started to approach the end of my college years I connected with people who had those same big dreams as I did and I decided to pursue modeling and acting while juggling the military, work and college and it was the best decision that I’ve made so far. It is so fulfilling to follow your dreams without leaving everything else behind and I encourage everyone to do the same.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have faced many challenges and it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I think facing those challenges made me want it even more. It is also humbling because I know where I started and how hard it was to get where I am now. All losses sting but a win means that much more. Coming back into it years later I had lost some of my abilities that I once had and had to find them again though practice, resources, peers and lots of studying.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I think that the Military is such a huge part of my life. Once I joined the Military I felt like I had a purpose. During my years in the Military I have met so many amazing people. A lot of those people gave me confidence and connections in order to pursue many of my other dreams. I am most proud of my ability to adapt and stay true to the artist’s vision. Bringing someone’s vision to life warms my heart.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was interested and involved in everything. I did tennis, volleyball, ice skating, student council, JROTC, theatre, stage crew, Girl Scouts and even cheerleading. If you knew me growing up you would’ve described me as outgoing and a dream chaser. As a kid the sky is the limit. Big dreams seem so achievable as a child and I have often wondered why that changes as we grow up. I then realized that things people say to you during your developmental years, money, commitment, connections and other outside factors contribute to your dreams.
