Meet Dante Lee of Kansas City, Mo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dante Lee

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my brand in August of 2016. Even though I’m an ex basketball player I always loved fashion. People would always ask me about my clothes and where I got them but I would never want to tell them. One day someone asked me if I would ever make my own clothes and at the time I was working nights at the Goodyear plant in Topeka, Kansas. I would sketch stuff up on my breaks and think about different ways to come up with a name and logo. I wanted something that was relatable to everyday life. I have “the sky is the limit” tattooed on my chest so I tried to implement that into things also and that’s how Triumph Victory Limitsnone was created.
TriumphVictory Limitsnone is a clothing brand that was created in 2016 with the desire to bring people of all races, shapes, and sizes together as one with the realization that we are all created equal. A TriumphVictory is when you have been at a low point in your life and manage to stand on top and become victorious over the situation. Limitsnone is a mental note that no matter how low you are, you have the ability to do anything and everything to get to the top. There are simply no limits to achieving greatness. TriumphVictory is more than just an apparel line. It’s a way of life to be applied to your everyday grind. I have two more brands that fall under the same family tree as TVLN. Respect Is Everything (Rise) which means Respect is not something you can ask for, buy, or borrow. Respect is what you earn from each person no matter their background or status. If you have no respect for your own values how can you be worthy of respect from others. Respect Is Everything. Stay Swanky: Unusually cool or agreeable; highly fashionable, though not necessarily in the sense of the mainstream standard. It means you exude an aura that’s certain to attract attention and admiration.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been an emotional roller coaster. The Financial aspect has probably been the biggest obstacle. Also dealing with wanting support from certain people, some drops selling more than others, customers making request all the time. Just simply understanding my audience and what will sell and what won’t. Not taking things personal, learning from losses and capitalizing on the small and big wins.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the boys lead care coordinator at house of hope Kansas City. We’re a therapeutic residential program. I also coach high school boys varsity basketball at park hill south. This is my 6th year coaching varsity basketball. 2018-2022 I coached at Van Horn High School where we earned a third place finish in 2021 for class 5a, 2023-2024 I coached girls at Winnetonka high school. I coach the 2034 and 2031 groups my daughters play on both teams. We have teams from third grade through seventh. I’m most proud of being able to make an impact in children’s lives every single day and not feel like I’m at work! I truly love what I do and I take a lot of pride in building everlasting relationships with these kids.
