Inspiring Conversations with Brooke Fisher of Brooke Fisher Esthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Fisher

Hi Brooke, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started esthetician school in 2020. Very passionate about skin I was so excited to be in the industry. I was working full time in skin (facials, waxing, etc.) when a friend asked me to do her makeup for a shoot, I posted the photo and things naturally took off from there. I took it as a sign makeup was something for me to pursue along side of esthetics.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For the most part yes if I’m going to be honest. I would say that’s due to my passion for my career, both in skin and makeup. It isn’t always easy being an employee working for someone else but it’s not always easy being your own boss either, as I do both. There were times where I would start to lose my passion, get burnt out, wonder what would be next. How I handle those situations now if they arise is i switch up my rhythm, restructure my facials, learn new techniques, even follow new faces online to get inspired again. The biggest thing is I realize how beyond blessed I am in my career, I could complain and focus on the hardships, but I’ve got it good and absolutely love what I do and beyond appreciate my clients.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Brooke Fisher Esthetics is my makeup business that I do part time when I’m not in a spa, full time I work medically and relaxation based in esthetics which includes skin treatments, waxing, and my specialization in facial massage. Skin is my passion. I’m lucky enough to be in the realm of work where I can do anything from relaxation facials all the way over to lasers, intense peels, and even microneedling facials and then on the weekends I can pick up my makeup kit when people need me. Under my esthetics license I really take advantage and do it all. Find me at Brooke Fisher Esthetics on Facebook, Instagram, and Tik tok. For all of your skin needs I am at Spa at Briarcliff and Smithville Medspa.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was crafty, obsessed with all things music, and was a pretty goofy kid over all. That still bleeds heavily into my adulthood today. My inspirations growing up were Freddy Mercury, MLK Jr., and Elvis Presley. They have all three heavily influenced who I am today. In different aspects they all scream to be your truest self despite the societal norm. My childhood was a blur, life began when an ASAP Rocky album was left in my car at the end of my junior year of high school and I realized that Christian music and rock weren’t the only genres that were out there. Growing up in a small town, discovering more artists and genres opened up a can of creativity and art in my life that I never knew I needed. Let alone generously helped expand my mindset growing up in a rural area. After high school I tried my best at a traditional university but was always late to class and could never sit still long enough to hear the lectures. After leaving that behind I heard of “beauty school” and I never looked back.
