Hi Shakira, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into real estate began right after I graduated high school at 17. I grew up in a single family household and incarcerated father. I always knew I wanted to be successful, and I was told that real estate was one of the most promising careers and I decided not to wait until after college to get started. While juggling my freshman year at Louisiana State University, I completed my pre-license real estate course and earned my license at 18.

The beginning wasn’t easy—my first two months were tough with no sales, but I kept pushing. In my third month, I earned my first commission of $9,000, and from there, things really took off. Within a year, I was consistently making six figures, hitting the $10,000 mark every month.

Recently, I started investing in real estate fix and flips. My first project hit the market and sold within a month, and I made a $100,000 profit. That experience has pushed me to explore more opportunities in real estate investing.

It wasn’t all about the money though. I had my fun, but then I refocused on saving and investing for the future. My passion now goes beyond just sales. I’m focused on giving back, especially by educating others through social media and e-books. With a TikTok following of over 500,000, I’ve been able to share both the glamorous and challenging sides of my journey.

Now, I’m balancing my real estate career with being a marketing major at LSU, and my goal is to continue inspiring others to see that age doesn’t limit success. If you want something, you can go out and achieve it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been quite a few challenges along the way, especially in the beginning. After earning my real estate license, the first two months were pretty rough—I didn’t close any sales, and I started to doubt whether I had made the right decision. But instead of giving up, I pushed myself harder, learned how to generate leads, and finally made my first commission of $9,000 in my third month. That momentum was key.

Another challenge has been balancing my real estate career with my studies as a marketing major at LSU. It can be overwhelming at times, trying to stay on top of schoolwork while managing clients and deals. There are days when it feels like there’s just not enough time, and it can get stressful.

When I ventured into real estate fix and flips, I faced another learning curve. Managing contractors, sticking to a budget, and making sure the property was market-ready were all new challenges for me. Thankfully, my first flip sold quickly, but the process itself was intense, and I learned a lot about the realities of home renovation.

Despite these struggles, I believe the tough moments have made me stronger. I’ve learned how to adapt, overcome setbacks, and keep pushing forward. The success I’ve found now is the result of those early challenges, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

My business focuses on helping people achieve financial freedom through real estate, whether it’s by becoming a successful real estate agent or learning how to invest in properties. I’m known for providing practical education and real-life insights into the industry, sharing what I’ve learned through my own journey as a real estate broker and investor.

What really sets my brand apart is that I’m only 20 years old, and I’m already ahead of most people in the field. This year alone, I bought a brand new house, two luxury cars, and I’m constantly investing and adapting to grow my business. I didn’t come from a place of endless resources, but I’ve built my success through hard work, creativity, and resilience. My journey has shown that with the right mindset and strategy, anyone can break into the real estate industry and thrive.

I specialize in empowering others—especially young individuals—by showing them that age, background, or lack of experience shouldn’t stop them from pursuing their goals. My brand offers a wide range of educational resources, from e-books to courses and even mentorship programs. I’m most proud of teaching not just the theory behind real estate but the practical steps needed to succeed. Whether it’s guiding someone through their first house flip or helping them pass their real estate exam, my goal is to make real estate knowledge accessible and actionable.
