Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhett Krewson

Hi Rhett, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started back in the summer of 2019 I when I was a lifeguard and I worked all summer to be able to buy my first car. A 2014 Mustang. It was not taking care of by the previous owner and I fell in love with the car and kept working on it and I spent all of Covid learning about how to detail, how to buff/polish and lots of other good stuff. I got my car looking new again and I offered to do the same to others for a cheap price and boom just like that I had my first set of clients and the rest came suite. I stoped lifeguarding the next summer to go full time with the business and that was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was booked out 2 months in advance for a long time. I kept reinvesting in the business and I kept learning and getting better. In 2021 I made some merch and it sold like crazy to all my friends and family. I was later on the school newspaper, yearbook, and tv show. I sponsored my local summer swim team. My senior year of high school I went to DECA with my business and placed 1st in my category. And since then I’ve gotten better and better and keep producing work I am proud of and people love!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of the struggles have been learning how to do it learning what products to use and how to make some how to communicate with my clients where to run my business if I should do mobile or drop off and pick up. Do I hire an employees which I did but ended up not being the best.

As you know, we’re big fans of Rhett’s Auto Detailing. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am the owner and founder. I am LLCed snd licensed and insured! I specialize in detailing of all kind, and I also do lots of mechanic work and custom modifications and installations. I am known for my amazing work and good prices. My business stands for great work at a great price for everything automotive. Someone who you can trust and get quality service from.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Overland Park and the best thing about the city is the people I am so fortunate to live in an area with great people and great opportunity. Something I dislike about the city is some roads are chip sealed and tared, and that creates a lot of extra extra work for me🫠.

• Basic interior starting at 50
• Basic exterior detail starts at 50
• My standard detail which includes interior and exterior, under the hood and undercarriage for 150
• Seat/carpet shampoo, steam and extraction starts at 50
• Head light restoration is 25 per headlight, I do select body work, ceramic coatings, paint correction, ect
